Who funds us?

The work of INCF is funded primarily through the member countries, where national ministries or research councils supply the grants for the membership fees. The member countries pay an annual fee which is related to the Gross Domestic Expenditure on Research and Development (GERD) in the respective country.

The INCF Secretariat is hosted by Karolinska Institutet (KI) and the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden. The KI supports the Secretariat with facilities on the KI campus, and KTH contributes with salary for a full-time neuroinformatics researcher and a part-time Professor of computational neuroscience.
