Program Officer

Program Officer, with a neuroscientific background, business oriented thinking and driving force management merits.

We are looking for a neuroscientist and a management skilled driving force for a position as Program Officer at the INCF Secretariat in Stockholm, Sweden.

The Program Officer will play a key role in identifying relevant outcomes from scientific workshops, strategy meetings, conferences and other internal and external forums, business and taking the best of these values into operational implementation as projects under the INCF programs. The Program Officer will also commonly take on the role as project manager and generally be responsible for and drive the progress of the programs.

Overall, the role will be to coordinate efforts across the INCF network and interact with relevant expertise and references with regards to the progress of the managed INCF programs. Responsibilities will include strategic and tactical planning and documentation of the programs and program operations, following up on deliverables and reporting progress directly to the Executive Director.

Excellent social skills and a natural sense for structured communication will be key success factors in the role. Business oriented thinking and project management merits are important. The Program Officer will set of and gain momentum from the big picture with a strategic perspective, but must also be able to drill down and manage tactics on a short-term timescale where necessary. Being able to balance perspectives, prioritize and maintain focus is therefore also crucial.

Program Officers at INCF hold different domain expertise. For this specific Program Officer position, a solid neuroscientific background is required.
